Who will win the 2009 Heisman Trophy Award?

There is no single clear cut top candidate, but rather several really good candidates still in contention to win the 2009 Heisman Trophy Award at season end. Here is a quick rundown of who we think at Vote on Me Sports will win the trophy for the most outstanding player in collegiate football
Colt McCoy – University of Texas – Quarterback
Colt McCoy has an amazing passer rating of 149.2 this season. He has his biggest test of the season coming up against Oklahoma. A victory in this game could put him atop of the list of Heisman hopefuls.
Jimmy Clausen – University of Notre Dame – Quarterback
Clausen is a huge surprise in the 2009 college football season. We will be on the lookout on how he performs later this year to see if Clausen will still be on our list of Heisman hopefuls. But for now he has 1,544 passing yards to go with 12 passing touchdowns and a passer rating of 179.3. Outstanding numbers for the Notre Dame quarterback.
Tim Tebow — Florida – Quarterback
Tebow has to be mentioned because he is a returning Heisman winner playing on a close to unanimous best college football team in the country. He has not put up the kind of numbers you would expect from a Heisman hopeful. He has put up statistics that aren’t that glamorous yet. He beat LSU though, and that keeps him in the running, despite only 777 passing yards this season. To the credit of Tebow, he does have 309 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns to add to his totals.
Tony Pike — Cincinnati – Quarterback
Pike has been absolutely amazing for the Bearcats, and has them running high in the AP and USA Today polls. Pike has already put up 1,633 passing yards and has thrown for 15 passing touchdowns in 2009. If he can finish strong in the Big East he could stand a chance.
Mark Ingram — Alabama — Running Back
Ingram is the only running back making our list. He plays on an Alabama team with a very good offensive line capable of opening big holes for him. Ingram will have some high profile games as the season ends to showcase his talents. If he can put up big numbers in these Bowl deciding games, Ingram is going to be noticed on a national scale.

Mark Ingram may have just come on the scene but he actually the most consistent of all these clowns
Also Case Keenum from Houston, putting up huge numbers…already 4,000 yards passing 31 TDs almost a 70% completion percentage, Its really just between him and Ingram..if Tebow gets it, I’m gonna stop watching college football
Mark Ingram will win but it should be the Toby Gerhart
